Two of Edward Young's sons nearly drowned at Tickle Point when their boat capsized while tending a salmon net. One swam ashore as the other was brought in by the sea. The boat broke up on the rocky bluff, three lost guns were recovered after the sea calmed next day, as waves rose and fell while they prepared to haul in their net.
The Premises at Path End form erly owned by the Ocean Products Co. have been purchased by Ash bournes Ltd. who were given possession of the property on Monday.

The G E W A St Peter's Branch announces its annual sale and hot supper on Tuesday November 19 in Pariah Hall. Supper costs 40 cents and tickets are available at local stores. The event features plain and fancy work plus a pantry stall candy grab bag and doors open at 6 pm with supper at 6 30 pm.
