Salmon Taken Legally by Rats in Newfoundland Waters
Mr John Dove caught a fine salmon in his salon net last Friday morning, a big catch for the year. George Blackler of Battrick's Island reportedly hauled in a large specimen during the same week after seeing a salmon swim past his boat and netting it. This is noted as possibly the first time a salmon has been landed by rats with perfect legality, far from shore.
