Confederation Life reports workers migrating to Roberts Arm for wood cutting and shipping duties with about 500 men expected to be employed. Motor boat C M Wheeler carried passengers to Lewisporte on Tuesday. Hayter and Young, traveling salesmen, were in town last week. Hayter spoke for Purity Factories Ltd and Young for T and M Winter.

Mining engineer to survey island mine end of June
The Mining Engineer will arrive at Chappel's Island near the end of June to survey the mine begun two years ago. Mr. Robert Boyd reports that the island camp was broken into with window damage. A five dollar reward is offered for information leading to the guilty parties.
