Miss Mildred Blandford daughter of Mia and the late Dorman Blandford of Herring Neck wed Revd E C Woodland of Wesleyville at St Pauls United Church Avenue Road Toronto. They will reside in Toronto during his theological studies.
Miss Emma Hamlyn formerly of Crow Head and resident at St Johns died there on Monday past. Her remains were brought by rail and boat with her brother Ernest on Wednesday. Funeral services conducted by Rev F Hollands took place the following day.

Albert Anthony of Seldom died at Geno Petal Hospital St John’s on Monday morning following a heart attack the day before. He was in his sixty seventh year and left a wife a son George of St John’s and a daughter Mrs John Clarke of Twillingate. Funeral services were held at the United Church in Seldom with Revd Feltham of Fogo officiating at church and graveside.
A fragmentary notice mentions films developed and printed with immediate attention and satisfaction guaranteed. It references Neil Whitehorne in Springdale and includes a cryptic number 227, suggesting a local business or advertisement notice.
North Side services at 11 am with lay reader and Sunday School at 2 30 pm. South Side minister leads 11 am service 2 30 pm Bible class 7 pm Sunday School. Crow Head holds 2 30 pm Sunday School. Little Harbour 3 pm minister 7 pm lay reader.
