Letter of thanks and critique from Joe Batt's Arm RN nurse
A World War II era letter from R. Evengiar RN at Joe Batt's Arm dated April 27 1945 expresses gratitude to Hospital staff for support during a stay. It condemns an individual named Mr Greetham for asking 1500 to travel to Change Islands, estimating expenses at 3 dollars and a five hour round trip. The writer argues service members earning about 90 cents a day should not be charged 3 dollars per hour for a favor and notes mixed behavior from others who “bite dam hard.”
