Notices declare the dissolution of the partnership between Lindy A Knight and Stanley French, who ran Joseph Knight at Moreton's Harbour Twillingate, effective April 30, 1949. Sandy A Knight will continue the business under Joseph Knight, with debts and credits settled by the late firm. Witnesses Estelle Kelly-Devine and others sign the document in St John’s dated April 30, 1949.
Reports from Crow Head indicate the salmon fishery is starting with Stan Sharpe catching an eleven pound fish. Lobsters and whitefish were on sale this week with strong demand. shellfish prices ranged from twenty to twenty five cents per dozen for crabs and oysters, while boiled seafood sold ready for the table.
