Hospital staff annual dinner reveals engagement at event
On March 8 the Hospital Staff annual dinner for the Directors and wives was held at the hospital. Miss Essie B Wood of the Hospital Staff announced her engagement to Mr Arthur Hodge and received hearty congratulations. A delegation from the Hospital Association and Directorate toured Herring Neck on March 12 to promote the Hospital Building Debt Campaign with a free hall by the Orange Lodge. Dr Parsons Mr K M Batten Mr Hi W Rideout Capt Frank Roberts and Arthur Hodge spoke on the hospital work and debt needs. A committee was formed to canvass Herring Neck and the Directorate expects strong local support.
