The Commissioner for Natural Resources orders all salt importers and dealers to report salt stocks on hand or en route as of February 28 1946. Salt Trade Return Order Issued by Newfoundland Authority
A 1946 notice under Defence Regulations requires all salt traders in Newfoundland or Labrador with twenty hogsheads or more in possession to file a written return with the Newfoundland Fisheries Board.
