Regulation Amends Salt Cod Export Packing Rules
Government authority amends October 1943 salt cod export packing rules. New requirement mandates wooden cross pieces in each cask head and bottom, dimensions at least three and a half inches wide and half an inch thick with bevelled ends to fit hoops. If stock is unavailable cross pieces may be three inches wide and three quarters of an inch thick.
