A Catalina fisherman, described by Mr. Fred Lock of Tizzard's Hill, is rowing home from Crouse, about 90 miles away, in a 14 foot fishing boat. After a failed attempt at out fitting, he set off solo, navigating 250 miles across bays in a remarkable endurance voyage.
Miss Lillian White of Gilesporte wed Mr. Sidney P. Boyde of Tizzard's Harbour at the S. S. United Church with a reception at the bride’s home. The same week Mr. Bennett Anstey of Purcell's Harbour married Miss E Gillard of Gillard's Cove at Little Harbour Church.
