Newly Appointed Superintendent Arrives in Twillingate
The town welcomes the newly appointed Superintendent, Minister for Twillingate circuit, Mr Hill and his family who arrived on Thursday. He preaches Sunday morning at the South church and evening at the North Side. Fishing reports from Change Islands and Healey Harbor show decent harvests with traps yielding well. The bay holds fish but baited hooks fail to tempt, suggesting squid bait may help. Mr John Davis, a devoted Methodist day school teacher, departs for St John’s route to Grand Bank to take charge of a larger salary position.

John Minty notes the scholars acquitted themselves with credit as music and singing impressed, Miss Jessie Hudder led the organ, and Dulcie Moors read a beautifully worded address to Mrs Freeman from the 1st Class girls. Mr Freeman responded warmly as the doxology ended the service.
