France reports 100000 trained pigeons, 047 departments with private societies, Paris housing 8000 trained and 10000 untrained. Germany has 78 private societies and 52240 pigeons. Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Austria and others maintain dovecotes or stations. Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, England also maintain royal or private networks.
