Alfred Bishop Morine died in Toronto aged 87 after a two year illness. Born March 31 1857 at Port Medway Nova Scotia, he edited the New Halifax Clifax Spectator Annapolis Royal Mercury and St John’s Mercury, later a lawyer and political figure. He served in Goodridge and Winter cabinets as Col Secretary and Receiver General and traveled to London for a Naval Reserve branch promise. Hon Arthur Meighen attended as pallbearer.
