The Rules and Regulations relating to the Herring Fishery under the Fisheries Commission Act of 1889 passed both Legislature branches and became law by Royal Gazette publication on June 16 1891. Published for public information by R Bond Colonial Secretary Secretary's Office November 10 1891.
The regulations govern herring seining on Sound Island in Placentia Bay. Rules cover crude limits on barred herring, gear placement, duties after hauling, penalties up to one hundred dollars, and sanitary measures with Board of Sanitary Commissioners to dispose of fish.

A March event plans a long-distance horseback ride from Berlin to Frankfort-on-the-Maine and back. Open to gentlemen riders only with entry fee 28 pounds. Prizes total 5000 pounds for the first ten horses, including a gold art prize of 2500 pounds and 1250 pounds for the second prize. Participants from Germany Austria Russia and Italy are announced with reporters to some route towns for reporting.
Disturbed by a crying sick child this ad touts Mrs WiveLow’s Soorsine Syrup as a cure for teething pain and related disorders. It claims quick relief for dysentery diarrhea wind colic and inflamed gums and promotes energy in the child. The syrup is said to be pleasant tasting and a long established prescription sold by druggists worldwide at 25 cents.
A coroner jury ruled Henrietta Cadet’s death a self-inflicted act. The proceeding notes unclear circumstances and references Singaaa and wathe in the fragmentary report.
