A local shop announces new Christmas toys and gifts now on display with plans for substantial stock increases as more goods are expected to arrive in a few days.
Montreal store clears ware with beds, chesterfields and tables deeply discounted. Feather pillows, kitchen and folding tables, chairs, carpets, bureaus, wardrobes, chesterfield sets, and baby carriages listed with strong values. Several items offered as first come, final sale, mail orders invited.
A notice requests contact with Euyan Daley in Durrell after two Rams disappeared. Anyone with information is asked to report promptly.
Francis Burton warns that persons found cutting trees or trespassing on the land at Durrel’s Arm, formerly owned by his father Jamies Burton, and now belonging to him, will be prosecuted.

The motor boat C. M. Wheeler will start a weekly schedule from Lewisporte to Virgin Arm Dark Hole and Twillingate connecting with Joseph Gillard and other boats. It will avoid rough water around Western Head and will wait at Virgin Arm for Gillard’s boat at Dark Hole. Services run Mondays Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The M D N Hustlers' Club hosts a Wednesday December 12 afternoon tea and sale at the Hospital Staff House. Admission is 25c with a grab bag ice cream and fancy work donations invited to President Misa Stella Marvel. Proceeds support ultraviolet light treatment for patients.
