Harbor Grace petition for doctor on Labrador mail boat
In Trespay July 1 session the House heard Capt. Err Dawn present a petition from John Strapp and Harbor Grace residents urging a doctor be assigned to the Labrador coast mail boat. The petition, signed by Dr. McDonald and Harbor Grace clergy, noted 14 to 14 thousand fishermen on the Labrador coast with no doctor last year. The Deep Sea Mission praised but cannot replace a local doctor.
