Dorothy Hodge returns to Harmon Field. Mr and Mrs George Burgin, after 40 years away, visiting relatives and friends locally.

Harold Simmms left for Deer Lake. Miss Phyllis Sharpe and Vera Baker went toward Fogo for holidays. Phyllis visits relatives, Vera returns from Twillingate.
TA A’s footballers returned victorious from Botwood after a 4 0 win with one disallowed goal. Weather battered travel earlier but seasickness faded. Timmy Howard and Sam Anstey led a strong second half. Botwood made two lineup changes. minor injury to Howard Ashbourne. Team enjoyed a postmatch dance and warm Botwood hospitality.

Eskimo audiences respond to color and visuals, preferring language they understand, as shown in prior Nain screenings.
Miss Bezel Juve Spracklin niece of Magistrate A L Sopracklin wed Mr Berparr Alton in Waterdown United Church Hamilton Ontario on Saturday August 12. Mr S Tiller returned from holiday by Kyle to resume duties as principal of Central School.
