T J Pitt and burial at B B Hol Cemetery. she left grandchildren and predeceased children, sons and daughters.
Ashbournes Ltd reports a coal shipment arriving Wednesday night. Capt. Jim Gillett makes his first port call this season. Capt. George Gillett also arrived Wednesday night with a lumber cargo for Confederation Life.
The Visiting Salvationists led by Major Ogilvie from Grand Falls gave a band concert at the Citadel on Monday evening with Bandmaster Dearing conducting choruses and soloists. Sunday services followed at the Citadel and hospital grounds. Major and Mrs Ogilvie, Canadians in charge of the soldiers’ hostel, thanked Twil Mogaters for their warm reception. Veteran Sergt Major Warren spoke, and Sgt Major Isaac sang before the band departed by Edward Clarke’s motor boat at midnight for Botwood.
