Convention honors Drew visit to Newfoundland
The Editor of the paper left Saturday for St John to attend a Progressive Conservative Party convention honoring Mr Drew during his Newfoundland visit. The event was held in St John Tuesday and the following days with press invited. The Margaret Josephine travelled to Gander Bay on Monday as others headed home by boat or plane. Mrs French and Mrs Record left by snowmobile and plane for their destinations. Frank Pardy took a boat passage and returned the same day. Capt Clarke reports no one is missing on the rope to Gander Bay. Eric Hamlyn departs today for Buchans to work with Buchans Mining Co.
