The House heard petitions from Western Arm and others urging higher government grants for main road work and for funds to replace a washed away harbor wharf. Members queried terms of a Mr Ad and Mr Neilson agreement and discussed quarterly health board accounts. The session adjourned with plans to consider road funding and related bills tomorrow.
The House opened at 4 30 p m and, upon motion, resolved into committee of the whole to consider abolishing parchment engrossing of public documents. The chair was held by Lion Dr Skelton. Harvey stated there is no act forcing parchment engrossing but long practice. The committee reported the bill without amendment and ordered third reading tomorrow. Notices include debentures and rebuilding act questions for Government. The session adjourned to 4 30 p m on Wednesday.
