On Monday evening last between eight and nine a fire consumed a lambing house and a thirty ton hay rick belonging to Mr S Burdge at North Farm Spottisbury near Blandford. Despite help from locals the flames could not be put out due to lack of water within half a mile. The act was deemed incendiary and this was the second fire in the area this year with the whole property lost.
