At yesterday's court session the City Lands Committee explained that new Acts require Old Bailey alterations to handle more county trials. Costs are estimated between 3000 and 4000, justifying actions without full Court of Common Council consent. Standing orders 24, 25, and 26 were cited as checks on committee spending. The City Solicitor noted a motion referencing the 26th standing order restricting member involvement within three months of an election.
