At Kensington, three young men named Thomas alias John Jones Willian Warren and Charles Coates were examined for stealing a time piece from Mr Davies the butcher Jones was committed to Newgate for trial Warren sentenced to six weeks and Coates to MM days in the House of Correction. Elsewhere the Hull and London Steam Packet Company begun building an 800 ton 400 horsepower steam ship for passengers with expected 16 hour passage time. In Dieppe a farmer’s brother killed a robber after a dispute over sheep with wolves suspected initially Marie Lecourtois claimed wolves were to blame but investigation showed he killed his brother by accident and he was imprisoned.
