Mysterious pistol firing at St Thomas's Church, Liverpool

A sailor is wounded after a man named Morrison or Fawcett fired a pistol near St. Thomas's Church on Lower Frederick Street. Emery the watchman pursued the assailant, who hid in a Park Lane cellar and was captured. The victim, George Smith of North Shields, is recovering.
