Curious case in court over 9001 bill of exchange

Sir Joseph Littledale heard a motion to stay proceedings in an action against a Somersetshire baronet over a 9001 bill of exchange. Inspector Wavendon Suspended and Dismissed from Force

Three months after being examined on a charge of assaulting Rath Morris in a Marylebone station house cell, Squire Wavendon was suspended and, at twelve o clock Saturday night, ordered to attend the Commissioners. He and Superintendent Morris, alleged to have pressured the case, were dismissed from the force. Inspector Cater now acts in A division in the interim, filling the room of Lazenby until a new superintendent is appointed.
