At about five o'clock two ladies Mrs Brown and her daughter boarded at Catherine Street Strand. A man and English or Dowling sat near them. English later alighted, Dowling remained. Mrs Brown missed her purse. English was chased and captured. On him were found two sovereigns and silver. Dowling had a sovereign and 6d. Prisoners committed for trial.
