Liverpool Crim Con case vs Kay and Falvey ends not guilty

The Lancaster assizes heard Valvey sue Kay a Liverpool wine merchant for criminal conversation with his wife Falvey. Testimony covered Cork 1829 marriage, visits to French house, alleged affairs, and numerous witnesses. Jury returned Not Guilty after a four hour trial in Cambridge circuit.

Perjury Indictment Threat Postponed Says Thomas Pagkin

In a letter dated January 16 and signed Francis Herbert claiming an indictment for perjury against Thomas Pagkin, the Worcester Gaol inmate says no bill was found by the Worcestershire Grand Jury after two months. Pagkin asserts his honor and appeals to the law, dated March 13, 1836.

In a Fen 23 hearing, Pierce sued Alicome over unpaid rent and damaged glass from Mrs Wade Pierce’s late husband property. The commissioner rejected administration of the estate as a prerequisite, ruling the claim could not proceed without proper administration. Pierce left frustrated, while the widow’s status remained unresolved.
