Public Meeting for Agricultural Employment Institution

A public meeting of subscribers and friends to the Agricultural Employment Institution will be held at Preemasons Hal Great Quesn Street Lincoln's Inn Fields on Saturday the 23rd of March to consider the object's restoration and to elect officers and collect subscriptions. By order of the committee, London, March 2. Sir John Lubbock and other local figures invite patrons and contributors to join and support the cause.

Lords Debate Petitions on Taxes Slavery and Ireland

The Lords sat from five until shortly after five thirty with petitions demanding repeal of assessed taxes abolition of Navery and the union in Ireland and against the coercive bill. Lords Rosebery Albemarle Harrowby and Bexley presented similar petitions while the Bishop of London urged Sabbath observance and the Ten Hour Factory Bill. The Earl Grey also presented a Baltimore petition asking inquiry into Ireland before the coercive bill becomes law.
