In the House of Lords petitions from Derbyshire parishes Ashburn Sawley Eaton and others urge better Sabbath observance. Dissenters from Richcroft Hindley and a Lancaster parish seek relief. Additional petitions from Somersetshire and Wilts call for relief and alterations to corn laws. A message was moved to obtain a 1825 county rates report. House of Commons Evening Sitting Report 1834 Debates

The House of Commons adjourned the night after long discussion on military and commercial questions. Topics included Beesdale land enclosure, taxes on horses for Romney Marsh shepherds, tobacco and wool import returns, patent law, the new police, Irish courts, and extensive committee of supply proceedings. Lord Althorp outlined reductions in military expenditure, staff consolidations, and proposed reforms in the army's accounts and administration, while various members pressed for East India sugar equalization and West Indies policy.
