Privilege Question Over Foreign Ambassador's Servant

In Palace Court a domestic servant Frentburg of the Swedish Ambassador, also a Leicester Square tailor, defaulted for 15 pounds 12 shillings. An execution seized his goods and a rule was sought to set it aside claiming privilege as a Foreign Ambassador's servant. The defendant also ran a business and faced bankruptcy law. the court discharged the rule.

Jere Bentham Dies After Illness in Westminster

Jere Bentham died yesterday at his residence in Queen Square Westminster in his eighty fifth year after a season of bronchitis attacks. He had recovered from earlier illness and resumed work on his constitutional code, with plans for a new edition of his works and writings on language and mathematics. His death ends a long career devoted to legal and linguistic scholarship, with many recognizing his influence abroad.
