Prerogative Court hears will dispute over McLachan estate

The Prerogative Court hears a contested will case involving the estate of Joho McLachan who died in August 1530. The proceedings question whether a later writing purportedly revoking earlier wills validly revoked the 1822 and 1830 documents or if the deceased died intestate, affecting legatees under a 520 probate. The Queen's Advocate seeks probate for the 1572 and 1570 wills, while others argue revocation and intestacy. The court notes the controversy could affect legatees awaiting 520, and the matter resumes next sitting.
