General Steam Navigation Company offers weekly mail and passenger services

The General Steam Navigation Company advertises regular weekly routes from the Custom-house in London to Hamburgh Lubeck St Petersburgh Stockholm Rotterdam and other ports carrying his Majesty's mails. It lists fares cabin and passenger options with connections to Antwerp Rotterdam and Ostend. Also promoted is a submarine exhibition in Regent Street and various literary and sporting notices.

Body found near Wandsworth inquest to be opened

A man about forty to fifty was found floating near Wandsworth Common. He wore a black coat and waistcoat with drab trousers and white stockings. In his pockets were a red pocket case with many half finished likenesses, a nut pencil, a kitchen, and an eye glass. The body will await the coroner’s inquest at the French Horn, Wandsworth. A separate item notes the new Upper Canada loan debentures of 1,000 each at 103 with scheduled payments and 4 percent interest.
