Unfortunate Man Charged With Robbery in Tothill Street

A Marshall Street resident was brought before Mr White at Queen Square police office on a morning charge of stealing in Tothilli Street. He lay unconscious in the street, a gold watch and silver box found on him. The man, once intoxicated, had a pocketbook missing containing two pounds and assorted banknotes totaling about twenty-one pounds. Police questioned witnesses but found no evidence of the alleged female companions. Mr White offered to help recover the money if the owner cooperates.
