T P Atkinson promoter warns the public that only plasters bearing his engraved name on the stamp are genuine and urges buyers to demand Atkinson's Sandwell's Lesue Plasters. Sold in boxes at E Edwards 67 St Pauls Churchyard and by Stradling Exchange Gates, Banger 150, and Chandler 76 Oxford Street.
A garbled chronicle discusses the Stuarts with a string of violent ends and executions. It lists James I as assassinated, James II as killed, James III murdered, James IV slain at Flodden, James V dying of grief, Henry Darnley murdered, Queen Mary beheaded, Charles I beheaded, and James II dying, ending with an unclear note about the Duke of Monmouth.
At a Westminster meeting of the United Reformers Association held at the Salutation Barton-street on Thursday evening, the group unanimously resolved that though they recall Sir F Burdett’s earlier Reform work, his conduct since the last election does not merit their confidence or future support. Hatfield December 20 Funeral of the late Dowager Marchioness of Salisbury concluded with strict privacy. A large procession formed from the park gates for the service at the church with about sixty in attendance, led by officials and servants. The Rev Mr Faithful officiated and the burial followed by a return to the house. Lord Brougham has been arranging press decisions in town.
