Fate of the Superb Steamer Deepens as Chest Linked to Passenger Stolen
A British vice consul report from Emden details a loose chest marked E Souchay found after the Superb Steamer’s loss. The chest contained four silk dresses and other valuables, suggesting a passenger as owner. The captain who displayed the stolen goods is to be prosecuted, with the aim of recovering value and punishment.
