Tea Trade Sale Opens at East India House

The East India Company's quarterly tea sale began with full attendance from dealers. Quotas total 9.05 million pounds across bohea congou campoi souchong pekoe and hyson. Yesterday 8,300 chests of bohea sold, prices ranged from 1s 8d to 2s per lb. Pyramus cargo from Canton adds 5,832 chests and 1,084 boxes of tea. Total deliveries in three months reached 7,754,752 lbs.
