He stated he came from Alnwick Northumberland and would beg again if not punished. White sentenced him for a month to the House of Correction. the man was taken to the gaoler.
A Swiss immigrant named Rapp was murdered by his wife and her Swiss lover in Hamburgh County on the 4th. The couple plotted for nearly a year, attempted poisoning, then killed Rapp at his stable by beating him and smothering him with the wife pinning him down. The wife and her accomplice fled after the act, later revived him briefly, then pushed for final death.
