Victorian era battle narrative recounts sieges and defeat

An OCR fragment recounts a 19th century siege with figures like Hicks Pasha and Cameron, detailing breaches, shelling, and cascading casualties. It references the New Zealand War, Rashgat, and the Indian Mutiny era, mixing battle actions and chaotic aftermath with uncertain wording and corrupted names. The piece mentions attempts to subdue fortifications and the dramatic breach that led to heavy losses and flight.
