Theory of Wheat Growth Stages by Bidar in Berne
Professor Bidar of the Central Agricultural Society in Berne France proposes a wheat growth theory with stages: germination at 40 to 43, rudimentary spike protected by five leaves, and stalk development up to 8 degrees. The critical fecundity stage requires at least 70 degrees for pollen fertilization. rain during this period may prevent opening and reduce spike fertility. If temperatures stay favorable, fertilization completes quickly and harvest follows, even if weather later turns poor. careful observation predicts yield by bloom on the head.
