Theft trial over a 2 year old heifer at Mafra court
A three justice panel at Mafra heard a case over a black and white heifer branded WE and G on the shoulder with a bob tail. Prosecutor William Edward Gibson and accused Geo Millett faced witnesses who traced the animal from October to November, with remains found at Millett’s slaughter yard. Despite long testimony, the bench discharged Millett as no conclusive link to the beast was proven.
