Remembrance Day observed in place of Armistice observance

In Toodyay and surrounding towns the Sunday nearest November 11 is marked as Remembrance Day replacing Armistice Day. Mundaring Bowling Club Opens 1948 47 Season With Visitors

Official opening at Mundaring Bowling Club on Sunday November 3 featured welcome by president Mr Melrose and an apology for absences of MLA Mr Owen and road board chairman Mr Robinson. Board member Mr McGillivray declared the green open and Mrs Melrose bowled the first ball. Visitors from Claremont Cottersloe North Perth and Swot clubs joined locals for a social game followed by tea hosted by Mrs Melrose Foot Massey Thompson and Milks. R H Rutherford says plans are underway for an interchange programme with metropolitan clubs.

Wooroloo News Briefs and Local Cricket Draw
