Official opening at Mundaring Bowling Club on Sunday November 3 featured welcome by president Mr Melrose and an apology for absences of MLA Mr Owen and road board chairman Mr Robinson. Board member Mr McGillivray declared the green open and Mrs Melrose bowled the first ball. Visitors from Claremont Cottersloe North Perth and Swot clubs joined locals for a social game followed by tea hosted by Mrs Melrose Foot Massey Thompson and Milks. R H Rutherford says plans are underway for an interchange programme with metropolitan clubs.
Local cricket match at Glen Forrest ended in a draw with Glen Forrest 169 and Wooroloo 133 for 7. Top scores were W Ingram 48 and R Baker 46 for Glen Forrest, A Strang 54 and N Davey 1m for Wooroloo. Other items note hospital updates, lectures, holidays, and visits among residents.
