A party from Toodyay endured a breakdown and axle failure on a charity trip to York. A. Lee and L. Donegan were shaken. Lee was admitted to York Hospital with no severe injuries. The group later returned to Toodyay with the axle repaired and resumed travel.
Wintry conditions marked a Wednesday rink at the Show Ground as Kingfishers outplayed Rangers 4 2 after half time. Kingfishers E Lahiff struck twice with I Meredith A Sinclair also on target while Rangers J Mackintosh scored, aided by a layoff of ten men at halftime.
