Miss M J Woon organizes Toodyay event on Saturday March 13 featuring St Patrick's Euchre. Novelties at dance with additional rides and popular prices.
Community items list a West Loud yay Ground railway picnic and swimming for Sunday with a post office departure at 16 a.m. A meeting chaired by Mrs Wood, dissolution of GWA branch, and social events including euchre, dances for St Patrick’s Day, and Harvest Festival services at the Methodist Church. Also notices of departures, an auction on March 17, a postmaster transfer, and a public send-off at Town Hall with Rev. Dr Collins.
Albanian born John Biris, resident in Australia for ten years, plans to apply for naturalisation under the Nationality Act 1920 1930. The notice notes a public event at the Volunteer Fire Brigade on Saturday next with music and prizes, with Don Chapman as secretary.
Mr R B James an account ant from Northam will visit Toodyay next Friday and may be found at the Newcastle Hotel. The Farewell social for Rev Dr Collins is extended by the committee at Toodyay Town Hall on Friday March 5th at 8 p.m. sharp. Mr James Pollitt, Road Board Chairman, will preside and the event features dancing with E B Wire as organiser in 1945.
