In the Lallaar Dartmoor area 106000 acres have been surveyed with about 82650 acres suitable for wheat. Rainfall records show 15 inches annually with adequate water nearby, and settlers push north toward Yuna and Mullewa to develop arable land. A council notes continue the push amid skepticism in official quarters about northern cultivation.
