On Friday June 11 at Toodyay Court House J P Donald Adams of Calingiri was charged with driving an unlicensed motor truck. The Victoria Plains Road Board represented by secretary W P Chester saw the charge proved. A fine of £4 plus costs £11 9s and license fee £4 was imposed with 27 days to pay if needed. A parade of the Toodyay Troop 10th Light Horse will occur Sunday at 9 30 am commanded by Squadron leader Shilling with mounted troop drill and tactical orders.
Mrs Ellery and family of Stirling Terrace Toodyay express heartfelt thanks for letters cards telegrams and moral tributes and personal expressions of sympathy received during their recent sad bereavement.

The Toodyay Parents and Citizens Association met at the school on Thursday June 10 with 25 members present. President Mr H Wood chaired. finances were healthy and a motion passed to repair the frame of the school bell. Headmaster Mr Crabbe apologised for Mr O Halloran's absence and presented £3 from the community concert for a school wireless. A children's fancy dress ball was planned for July and thanks were extended to Miss Howlett and the senior girls for afternoon tea at meetings.
Mrs Basil Watson of Northam spends a short holiday with her mother Mrs J Meredith. Mr J Wroth celebrated his 78th birthday. Visitor Mr S Searle lodged at Newcastle Hotel while on business. Tom Blake entertains his mother Mrs G Blake and aunt Mrs F Johnson, holidaying from the Eastern States. Jean Mary Mackintosh to Paul Ashdown engagement announced. William John Robinson and his mother celebrated birthdays on consecutive days. Mr Bishop of Clackline visited Newcastle Hotel. Two railwaymen inspected Toodyay Mr James Wroth traffic inspector and Mr Evans district superintendent. Miss Elsie Lawler spent weekend with Mrs Chapman.
