Mr Thomas Waters died at his residence on Saturday evening May 27. He was 87 years and seven months old and survived by his widow aged 87. Born in Guildford in 1845, he spent most of his life at his Toodyay home, leaving four sons and four daughters, three sons and two daughters surviving. He was the district’s oldest resident. The funeral was at Culham Cemetery on Monday, conducted by Rev O Halloran, with J W Purslowe and Sam Northam arranging. Pallbearers included J A Wroth, T J Donegan, D MacPhenon, J C Lucas. chief mourners listed among sons, a daughter, a sister and many relatives. wreaths from numerous friends and family accompanied the service.
