Scientific Expedition Describes Ilyria Voyage to South Pacific
The Ilyria, built for Mr. C Crane of Chicago, completed a 30000 mile South Pacific cruise for the Field Museum. Dr Osgood sought echidna specimens. Galapagos finds include Darwin Rat and babirusa tusks. About 500 birds were collected and Gargoyle oils aided operations in Rabaul and at sea.
