Last Monday the Junior Cycle Club held weekly aggregate races with a trial starting and finishing point opposite the station. Spectators could view from the island bank. The senior boys race featured Alan Lloyd and others, finishing times listed with results noted. A girls race followed with listed starters.
Under excellent conditions last Sunday a rifle gathering produced a club trophy contest. W Haywood excelled with a handicap of 18 and a total score of 100 of 100. W Haywood 43, F Andinach or Next week Ubion meeting.

On Sunday at Toodyay Golf Club a 36 hole Woodlands Cup match against Colonel Bogey drew strong scores in ideal conditions. Next Sunday features bogey on impulse and six clubs plan to host four players from Mt Lawley.
The Farmers Union of Western Alabama held a meeting chaired by A H Sar Ax a at 2 clock in WA. Mr Noakes described Union work in administration and farmer assistance, noted growing membership, and discussed challenges in various branches of farming. An enjoyable supper followed, hosted by the ladies.
Northam Club visited Toodyay last Tuesday for a keen evenly played badminton evening. Northam showcased greater experience and held the lead, while Toodyay offered strong competition and gained welcome exposure to improve their play. The night featured 11 sets and 193 aces for Northam against 7 sets and 180 aces for Toodyay.
The Ladies of the Parish Committee held its final meeting on Sunday to finalize plans for the annual functions in September. Members discussed event details and preparations, aiming for a successful Caliren Ball and related activities.
Freemasons and Newcastle faced off in a tight darts contest with Freemasons winning the doubles. Lloyd led Freemasons with strong singles performances, while Melbin and Lilane secured the doubles win. Final tally shows Freemasons 18 games to Newcastle 171.
Toodyay narrowly defeated Bayswater by nine points at Bayswater Oval last Sunday in a tight amateur football match. Key Toodyay players included L. Fleay V. Pearce M. Wroth S. Robinson and F. Walkerder, while Bayswater featured C. McGregor Henderson J Latine Fowler Ping son Mullens and NEX’s SUNDAY Bt. Edephonsus College players visit next Sunday for a 2 30 p m game at Toodyay.
