Consul General and Mrs. Crittenden hosted a progressive euchre gathering where Mrs Barron and Mrs Wood won top prizes and gentlemen prizes went to Birron and Ovombe. A list of guests followed then Friday, Mrs H Scherer hosted a bowls gathering with keen interest and a fine bowling alley.
Yesterday Mrs L H Rauzer hosted a dainty pink luncheon in honor of Mrs Thomas Lakeside Phillips the latest bride. Guests included Mrs Barron Mrs Clarke Mrs Harley Mrs Ambridge Mrs Feastman Mrs Frost and the Triple Alliance Club with Miss Lulu Blake. A recent meeting featured a hot contest for prizes with a close score as Mrs Donald Stewart and Mr Blake won.
The original Duplicate Whist Club announces a return to fortnightly play with the first game set for tomorrow night at the home of Mr and Mrs Goo D Barron. Members are asked to note the shift from Friday to Monday due to Mr Barron’s impending departure.
