Michael Dyck, home schooled then at St. Mary’s, faced family intervention as his grandfather and aunt’s deaths weighed on him. By age 18 and a half, conflict escalated over chores leading to an ultimatum and his move to his father in February 2004.

PChAD presentation in Taber explains new Alberta act

Terry Fox Run Enters New Route In Taber
Taber hosts this year's Terry Fox Run with a five kilometre route using part of the town's new walking trail. Registration at 9 a.m. at Confederation Park bandshell. run at 9:30 a.m. Funds support cancer research with 89 percent directed to the cause. Organizers aim to surpass last year's $12,000 and expect about 30 participants. Local businesses and venues host pledge forms and route signs along the route.
